Good for my small business

I started using the Indie Plan a few weeks ago and it's been pretty solid for my jewelry business. Setting up the raw materials was straightforward, and the Etsy Inventory Sync worked after a bit of fiddling. The COGS Calculator is a lifesaver for pricing. It took me a little while to get used to the interface, but customer support was quick to respond to my email question about batch tracking. Delivery of the service, since it's software, was immediate upon subscription. Overall, it's a valuable tool.

Good for inventory

Signed up for the Studio Plan. It manages my raw materials well. The COGS calculator is helpful. Easy to use overall. No major complaints.

Functional but some hiccups

I signed up for the Pro Plan to manage my cosmetic manufacturing. The Raw Material Tracking and Bill of Materials Software are quite powerful and have saved me a lot of time. However, the initial setup for integrating with Shopify was a bit more complicated than I expected; it took a few tries to get everything syncing correctly. Once it was running, the Profit Margin Analysis has been very insightful. It's a robust solution, just be prepared for a bit of a learning curve at the start. The value is there, though.

Solid software, some minor snags

I moved from Zoho Inventory to Craftybase's Business Plan a few months back for my cosmetic manufacturing. The material traceability and batch tracking features are really strong, much better than what I had before. My main positive is how accurately it calculates product costs. The initial setup for all my old inventory was a bit time-consuming, and I wish the UI felt a little more modern in some sections. Support was quick to answer my questions though, which was good.

Detailed tracking for candle making

I subscribed to Craftybase for my candle making business, specifically for the inventory management and costing software. The raw material tracking is really precise, letting me know exactly what I have on hand for each scent and container type. I liked that it integrated with Shopify quickly, pulling in all my orders without much fuss. The production tracking is also super useful for seeing my current workflow. It took me a little while to get the hang of setting up my bill of materials for each product, but once that was done, it made pricing and profit margin analysis much clearer. I did have a small issue with understanding one of the tax reporting tools initially, but their help documents cleared it up after a search. Overall, a powerful tool for a maker.

Still the best for my small business

I've been using Craftybase for a few years now, upgrading from the Indie Plan to the Pro Plan recently. It's consistently reliable for my jewelry inventory. The Etsy sync still works flawlessly, which saves me tons of time. Setting up the new integrations took a bit, but it was worth it. Glad I stuck with them.

Reliable as always

This is my third year with Craftybase, still on the Business Plan. They've consistently delivered a great service. This time, I needed to set up a new integration for WooCommerce, and it went just as smoothly as when I did the Amazon Handmade one a while back. Their Tax Reporting Tools always simplify year-end for me. It's comforting to know I can rely on them to keep my inventory in order.

Reliable tracking, as always

I've been using Craftybase for a while now, mostly for my Etsy inventory sync and raw material tracking. This time I renewed my Pro Plan annually, and it was just as smooth as previous years. Everything loaded up fine, my integrations are still working perfectly. It's consistent, which is why I keep coming back. The only minor thing is the interface could use a refresh, it's a bit dated compared to some other tools out there.

Anyone using Craftybase who also sells on Etsy? How good is the sync, really? Does it actually pull everything correctly?

B Ben 1 month ago
The Etsy sync is decent. It pulls orders and updates inventory, but sometimes you have to manually refresh things if you make changes directly on Etsy.

A Adam Clark 1 month ago
It's mostly seamless for me. I've had very few issues, especially compared to some other tools I tried before. It saves a ton of time not having to enter every sale by hand.

Quick question about the free trial. Is it a full-featured trial, or do they limit what you can do?

D David Torres 1 month ago
It's the full thing! I used it for 14 days and got to try out all the features before committing.

J Jessica S. 1 month ago
Nah, it's not like a demo. You get access to pretty much everything to see if it fits your workflow.

Hey guys, thinking about signing up for Craftybase, but I'm still weighing options. How does it stack up against something like Inventora or even just using Quickbooks for inventory?

B Brittany D. 4 weeks ago
I used Inventora for a bit before Craftybase. Craftybase is way more focused on handmade stuff, especially with the raw material tracking and COGS calculations. Inventora was okay, but I felt like it was missing some of the niche features I needed for my soap business.

Quickbooks is great for accounting, but for actual inventory management for makers? Nah. It's not built for tracking raw materials into finished products like Craftybase is. You'd be doing so much manual work.

Does anyone know if they ever run sales? Like, I saw something about Black Friday, but is that common? Wondering if I should hold off on starting my subscription.

S Stephanie Lewis 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they definitely do Black Friday deals. I got a pretty sweet discount on my annual plan last November. Worth keeping an eye out.

L Lisa M. 2 weeks ago
I think they mostly push the annual discount, which is already a good chunk off compared to monthly. Occasionally there are other promos, but the annual saving is pretty standard.

Hey, thinking about Craftybase for my soap business. Does it actually make sense for someone small-scale, or is it more for bigger operations?

A Amanda N. 1 month ago
Definitely for small businesses! I'm just doing candles out of my kitchen and it's been a lifesaver for tracking all the oils and waxes.

M Megan L. 1 month ago
Yeah, it's pretty good for makers. The COGS calculator alone saves me so much headache come tax time. I'm on the Indie plan and it's plenty for me right now.

Considering Craftybase vs. Inventora. Anyone have experience with both and can tell me which one they liked better for jewelry making?

S Sam Rivera 1 month ago
I tried Inventora briefly but found Craftybase's material tracking and BOM features to be much more intuitive for my jewelry pieces. Inventora felt a bit clunkier.

J Jason D. 1 month ago
Craftybase definitely has better specific features for makers, like batch tracking. Inventora was okay, but Craftybase just felt more tailored to a handmade business workflow, especially with cost calculations.

Thinking of trying out Craftybase, but I'm a bit nervous about the cost. Is there a way to try it fully before committing to a plan?

A Adam Clark 1 month ago
They have a free trial, usually 14 days. Gives you enough time to poke around and see if it fits your workflow without paying anything.
5
C Chris T. 1 month ago
Yep, definitely do the trial first! That's what I did. You get access to everything for a couple of weeks to see if it's worth it for your business.

I make jewelry and use Etsy and Shopify. Does Craftybase actually sync well with both? I've heard some horror stories about integrations being a mess.

O Olivia 1 month ago
Yep, I use it for both! Etsy syncs really well, pulls in orders and helps with inventory. Shopify is also pretty smooth. I haven't had any major issues.

A Amanda T. 4 weeks ago
It's decent. For Etsy, it's pretty seamless. Shopify is good too, but sometimes if you have a super complex product setup, you might need to double check things. Overall, way better than trying to do it all manually.
